Welcome to Seronera Crocodile Farm, situated in Hazyview Mpumalanga South Africa! We are an established crocodile farming operation dedicated to the responsible breeding, rearing and management of Nile crocodiles, operating in full compliance with South African legislation and international conservation standards. With a strong focus on animal welfare, sustainability and traceability, our farm supplies high-quality crocodile products to approved local and international markets, supported by strict biosecurity and environmental management practices. We believe in providing our crocodiles with a natural enriching environment, rather than traditional single pen structures or dental management.
Situated in the heart of the South African bushveld, Seronera Crocodile Farm in Hazyview boasts a 1km riverbed, a 37ha farm with 7 breeder dams, 19 stock dams, and 14 hatchling enclosures, and approximately 22,000 resident crocodiles, with more dams in development. Seronera is a registered farm with the Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency.

On our farm our crocodiles live in spacious, integrated habitats that mimic their wild counterparts, promoting a sense of community and well-being. We understand that a happy crocodile is a healthy crocodile, and by allowing them to interact and roam freely, we ensure they thrive in their surroundings.
Every three months, a state visit is conducted to ensure that the farm meets all the requirements. These visits are crucial in maintaining high standards for animal welfare, safety, and environmental care with private vet inspections every 6 months.
The Nile Crocodile was historically placed on the endangered species list in parts of Africa due to overhunting, habitat loss and unregulated trade during the mid 20th century. Through the introduction of strict legal protection, regulated trade and responsible crocodile farming, Nile crocodile populations have since recovered significantly in many regions. Our farm plays a key role in this positive shift. By farming Nile crocodiles in captivity with care and respect, we contribute to their conservation while ensuring that our practices align with the highest ethical standards.
